This is one of the “LOOPS” that L.G. Marks got from one of his cronies that used to ride a lot in WV. It takes us into the small town of Richmond at the edge of the forest, then we go south through Hillsboro and take 60 into White Sulphur Springs, home of the Greenbriar Resrort [probably WON’T have lunch there]. About 146 miles.
Going back we take I64 through Clintonville, pick up 60 again and ride it to 19, then 19 and I79 back to Flatwoods, right at 112 miles. So we are looking at a pretty comfortable ride of almost 260 miles with the more challenging terrain at the beginning, instead of the end.
We’ll decide where to stop and eat along the way. Figure the riding time at about 6 hours.
Meet at 79’er Restaurant* lot at 1000 and then ride to Flatwoods Bearhaven Sunoco** to pick up any additional riders.
I’ll be leaving Glenville Rich Station*** at 0935 for Burnsville.
